The Karnaugh map is a method to simplify Boolean algebra expressions.

In a Karnaugh map the boolean variables are transferred (generally from a truth table) and ordered according to the principles of Gray code in which only one variable changes in between adjacent squares.
Once the table is generated and the output possibilities are transcribed, the data is arranged into the largest possible groups containing 2n cells (n=0,1,2,3...) and the minterm is generated through the axiom laws of boolean algebra.

We have designed this application primarily to support students studying electronic engineering, although it is useful in other disciplines including computer science and mathematics.

Features:
- Minimize logic function entered as text, Karnaugh map or truth table
- Up to 8 variables
- Contains History option
- Supports the Dont care condition
- Shows representation of each minimized component in the Karnaugh Map

Pros and cons of Karnaugh Map Advanced app for iPhone and iPad

Karnaugh Map Advanced app good for

Good app better, you enter the funtion and it gives you the karnaugh map. better than the other app. (since there are 2 only :))
The only thing is missing is logic diagrams and this app is A1

Some bad moments

It works. Its easy to use. The only confusing thing was trying to change the number of variables, but after figuring that out it worked flawlessly.
When I saw that this app could handle as many as 8 variables I downloaded it immediately, only to find out that you cant change the variables! I got this to work out 5 & 6 variable functions. Anyone can do 4 or less in a minute with practice. The default variable assignments are funky-its not the same style my professors or othere apps i use. Is it just me or are the axis inverted? If you design a function with different letters, you will have to translate your variables and maybe even use a different application to verify the results, which defeats the purpose of an app like this. I want my dollar back. :-/
Had to figure out an 8 variable k-map... And this tool worked perfectly. Kudos to the author of this app.
it would be nice to support the newer iphone screen size also, it would be nice if you could add option to output in minimum product of sums another good feature would be to be able to change the variable letters in the karnaugh map for easier reading
